Benedictine monasteries are known for offering hospitality. St. Benedict says, "All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ" (Rule chap. 53, v. 1). Hospitality is offered in various ways, such as by welcoming guests who come to pray with the monks, to attend Mass, or simply to check out the place. Tours are also sometimes given to visiting groups and groups, such as staff from local parishes, sometimes use the abbey for periods of reflection. One major way in which hospitality is offered is through our guest house (see links).
