Benedictine balance - Living a balanced life

Balance is sometimes thought of as avoiding what is very hard, on the one hand, and what is very comfortable, on the other. But this is not correct. After all, how can balance mean avoiding what is very hard, when doing the right thing is sometimes very hard? Rather, balance is about arranging your life, so that you can better live a life of virtue, as God wants.
