Pottery and other artwork by Br. Kevin Coffey, OSB
The works featured in this show reflect Br. Kevin’s attempt to use ceramics as a means of exploring childhood wonders, love of nature, and his Catholic faith.
Ceramics is a relatively new medium for Br. Kevin. His formal training and education in art is predominantly in two-dimensional work—drawing, painting, and printmaking. He earned his BA in studio art from Benedictine University in 2005, a K–12 teaching certification in art from North Central College in 2007, and an MFA in art from Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 2009.
In 2009, Br. Kevin began the visual arts program at Benet Academy and taught full time until 2022. Since then, his art practice has taken place at St. Procopius Abbey.
